Norfolk County will be issuing this Request for Proposal to solicit submissions from qualified proponents for the manufacture, supply, delivery, and distribution of standardized waste collection carts and kitchen catchers to support the implementation of the County-wide automated garbage and organics collection program.
Norfolk County provides curbside waste collection services to designated residential, institutional, and commercial properties. On September 29, 2026, the County will transition from manual waste collection to a fully automated, cart-based collection system, coinciding with the introduction of a curbside organics program.
The successful proponent shall be an experienced waste cart manufacturer with demonstrated capacity to produce high-quality carts and to manage the coordinated distribution of carts to eligible properties. The new automated waste collection program is scheduled to commence on September 29, 2026. |
